In a blog post written in 2011 by Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, she states, among other things, that swine flu was an imaginary threat and that the hysteria surrounding it was fueled by, among others, the pharmaceutical industry. The post has attracted attention in light of Marine’s very repressive corona policy since she herself became Prime Minister before 2020.
The then 24-year-old Social Democrat wrote at the time that the swine flu was not a real threat, “at least not to the extent that the media, politicians and medical staff warned of the threat” and pointed out in his blog post that the mass hysteria surrounding the so-called pandemic made a factual political debate.
