Forndata Summer 2021 is a party for all retro fans that takes place in an old warehouse in Visby. Tomorrow the event kicks off – digitally of course.
The organizers describe Forndata as an event that mimics old-time demo/copy parties from the 80s-90s. In total, almost 1,000 people from all over the world will gather to hang out and check out old computers from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. There will also be freshly baked demos, newly composed music, and new games for the old machines.
Commodore computers are in focus, but of course, it is also about other brands from the same period.
This year’s edition is streamed via Twitch
Forndata Summer 2021 is unsurprisingly a completely digital event, but the organizers – a bunch of retro-interested “guys” (according to their own statement) – hope for a more traditional event in the future, but with digital elements.
During this year’s edition, a bunch of interviews with various retro fans and icons are also offered.
(See below.) The retro party starts on Saturday 5 June at 17:00. Directions are simple: www.twitch.tv/forndata.
