Many had hoped to make their PS5 consoles sweat a little in Gran Turismo 7 already this year, but unfortunately this is now being moved until 2022.
Delaying a game is never really a bad thing, really good and given the circumstances of the day, it is no surprise. But now Sony announces that they will not release Gran Turismo 7 this year, but it will instead be until 2022 before the game is released.
The reason is that the ongoing pandemic has made up for it and they need more time to polish and deliver the best possible quality at Gran Turismo 7. Sony sells the following in a statement about the delay:
“GT7 has been impacted by Covid-related production challenges and therefore will shift from 2021 to 2022. With the ongoing pandemic, it’s a dynamic and changing situation and some critical aspects of game production have been slowed over the past several months. We’ll share more specifics on GT7’s release date when available.
While we wait for Gran Turismo 7 to be released, we can enjoy the trailer above which really shows what the game will go for graphically, maybe it will be even better now that they have more time.
