Microsoft fixes stability issues for the Xbox Series X / S controller

Microsoft has fixed a stability issue affecting the Xbox Series X / S controller. With a new update to your controller, you should notice that it does not disconnect the game console as often.

The update is included in the “March 2021” software update for both Xbox Series X and S. The new software was released on March 10 and is ready for your game console today.

If you are experiencing this issue, you can try updating your game console and controller immediately. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Xbox button on your controller
  2. Go to Profile and system> Settings> System> Updates
  3. If the notification “Console update available” is displayed, install the software

If there is no update notification on the page, your game console and controller already have the latest available version.

You can set up your Xbox to automatically download and install future updates. This means that you always have the latest software and get new functions / bug fixes faster

Other news in the “March 2021” update includes support for FPS Boost on Xbox Series X / S and the Auto HDR setting.
