More and more people are skipping this year’s MWC

MWC 2021

This year’s MWC will be a physical fair as usual, although the pandemic is still going on, however, several large companies are choosing to skip the event.

At the moment, we are unfortunately still living in a pandemic, Covid-19 is still holding on, but that does not stop the organizers of MWC from canceling this year’s event.

It has previously been announced that MWC 2021 will be held as a regular trade fair, ie a physical trade fair instead of a digital one that many others have chosen instead.
However, visitors will be limited to “only” 50,000 instead of 100,000 as it used to be.

Now, however, at least three manufacturers have chosen not to participate in this year’s MWC, it is then about Sony, Nokia and Ericsson who choose to cancel because they do not want to put their employees at any risk and want to help slow the spread of infection.

However, Sony and Nokia still seem to have news to show so they plan to have a digital event instead, exactly how and when remains to be seen. Ericsson, on the other hand, chooses to skip MWC 2021 altogether.

This year’s MWC or Mobile World Congress will run from June 28 to July 1.
