Nintendo may launch a new Switch model with OLED screen and Nvidia technology before the E3 show in June.
There has long been talk of a new, improved Switch with heavily upgraded components compared to the 2019 model.
New data indicates that Nintendo can start production of the new model as early as July.
New Switch gets 7-inch OLED screen & higher price
An official presentation of the new Switch is expected to come around the E3 trade fair, which will be held on 12 June. Probably the day or the next few days before.
The details we have today point to a 7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. Below the screen is a new system circuit from Nvidia with support for DLSS and enough performance to display 4K image on an external screen.
Unfortunately, it is not only the performance that increases, but also the price. According to the Bloomberg website, the new Switch will increase from the current 299 USD to 349 USD. This is a price increase of 17 percent.
With a price of SEK 3,700 here in Sweden, the new model would then be around SEK 4,300, with a 17 percent increase.
