Apple is hardly known for offering enough ports on its computers. At least not the portable variants. In fact, it’s a standing joke that Apple users are being forced into the so-called adapter hell.
Thankfully, there are many good adapters for those who are not content with the two or four USB-C ports that Apple computers have. Satechi USB-C On-the-Go Multiport Adapter is one of the newer with as many as nine ports.
Perhaps the most important port is called USB-C PD. It can be used for both charging your laptop (up to 100W), data transfer and streaming video. There is also a secondary USB-C, but it only supports data transfer, like the two USB-A ports.
There is an HDMI port that can handle up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, as well as an old VGA port for 1080p at 60 frames per second. Displayport and Thunderbolt, on the other hand, are not included in the USB-C On-the-Go Multiport Adapter.
For network connection, there is a single Gigabit Ethernet port and you can read microSD and SD memory cards.
