Apple presented macOS 11.1 in the RC version this evening. Registered developers can now download and install the update. The publication of the final version of the upcoming update is now within reach.
Apple distributed the RC version of macOS 11.1 to the developers on Thursday evening. This is usually identical to the final version of an update. Only in the case of serious problems that still occur, which are reported back by the developers, will they be dealt with again.
The final update for all users should come soon
Yesterday Apple had already distributed the RC versions of iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 as well as watchOS 7.2 and tvOS 14.3 to the developers. These updates should appear for all users next Monday.
MacOS 11.1 will also soon be released for all users. There are no major changes or new features in the update; it mainly focuses on improving stability and eliminating bugs, some of which were recently in macOS Big Sur. Among other things, they had resulted in older and younger MacBooks becoming unusable when installing macOS Big Sur or performing a system restore.
