The huge DOTA 2 tournament The International was actually supposed to take place in Stockholm last year, but will instead be held this year.
I think whether you are a DOTA 2 player or not, it feels like The International is a must in e-sports considering how big it is and what a huge interest.
Last year, the idea was to hold The International in Stockholm, but due to the pandemic, they chose to cancel this, but not this year.
Now Valve announced that they will hold this year’s The International in Stockholm as planned last year.
The dates to remember are the group matches that will be played between 5 to 8 August and the main tournament itself, what everyone wants to see more or less will be played between 10 to 15 August.
Valve has not announced how to choose to deal with audiences and the like, but I think a lot depends on what the restrictions will look like then.
